Little West only uses the best never frozen produce and most advanced methods of juicing to ensure that our high juice quality with no added sugars or water.
We utilize HPP, which stands for High Pressure Processing. HPP is an FDA-required method which takes a bottle of juice in a cold chamber of water and applies a large amount of pressure to it. This process ensures nutrient density while protecting against potential harmful pathogens, like e-coli.
Donating compost to local schools for gardening programs AND Donating 1% of all sales to BigGreen Learning Gardens
This is especially important to our CEO and Founder Cassandra. While we’re not currently dropping off compost (due to facility changes and internal changes), we have previously donated a ton of our compost to local schools in LA with gardening programs.
My personal mission is to help inspire kids to be more adventurous with food and to inspire parents have more fun with food. Kids having school gardens teaches kids about real food… the first and most important step.
Cassandra also does a ton of volunteer work with Big Green Learning Gardens at their LA learning gardens schools.
We buy local to support our local farming community, and to prevent unnecessary loss of nutrients, which is the result of produce being harvested and then spending days in transit. Buying local also reduces the environmental impact of our food. We help avoid a large carbon footprint through overseas plane travel and long truck trips, all of which cut down on fuel consumption and air pollution.
Carefully selecting how we buy our produce…
- Kale is ordered in bulk cases, and without ties on bunches. Ties are mad of metal and plastic
- Leafy Greens, all without ties also!
- We buy apples in 600lb bins, and without stickers on them, instead of in cases to avoid cardboard and plastic waste.

Our packaging will improve to better reflect our brand in the future. We pack each box now with layers of ice packs and juice in bettween. Each box contains an insulated bag wihich helps keep it cool. We plan our shipping to arrive in 2-days to ensure that your juice is still cold upon arrival.
Due to the nature of our juices, they are best when refrigerated as soon as possible. However, you do have a little bit of leeway. As long as the juices are still cool when you open the box, and you put them in the fridge, they will be okay.
However, if you open your case after a few days of leaving it on your doorstep. We can't guarantee the freshness if they are warm. So it is best to reach out and see what we can do to get you new juices.
Little West cannot offer refunds for juices that arrived to you and no picked up upon arrival. Please plan accordingly.
We pride ourself on our obession over details. Our juice contains only contains the fruits and vegetables you see with no added sugar or water. We use only the freshest, never frozen, ingredients which goes from the farm to bottle in 48 hours.
While we’re not certified organic, we consider ourselves ‘better than organic’. We say this because we work closely with the local farms we source from, and we’d prefer to know where our produce comes from, rather than buy from across the world, where we don’t truly know the standards (i.e. ginger from China). The farms we work with are doing it right and we choose to support them. It’s a personal decisions the owners have made since they started sourcing from the Santa Monica farmers market 7 years ago.
Absolutely! In fact all of our products are made with families in mind… every step of the way. Our founders are parents and strive to create juices that are perfect for both kids and adults alike. Since sugar is a concern for many parents, even when it’s naturally occurring in fruit, we work with ingredients such as pear to sweeten, and jicama to naturally decrease sugar content without adding water to dilute our 100% fruit & veggie juices.
Yes and yes! Our juices all undergo FDA regulated High Pressure Processing (HPP) which makes them completely safe for pregnant women. The process rids juices of harmful bacteria, while keeping the nutrients in tact. So drink up!
From our experience, most adults can benefit from a cleanse program. We all live a busy life whether you are young working millenial or a mother takes care of the family. A cleanse is a great way to reset your body and mind to leave you feeling recharged.
*Our cleanses are not intended for children under 18 years of age. For those who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or suffer from certain medical condtions please consult your health care provider before starting a cleanse program.
If this is your first time doing a cleanse, you may be wonderig what to expect. For first timers, you might notice yourself getting hungry. This is a normal reaction as your body is used to consuming food. As you get more used to cleanses you will notice the hunger being more manageable as your body gets used to your liquid diet.
The answer varies per individual as everyone is different. We suggest you listen to your body and not make weight loss your primary goal. Think of a cleanse as more of a way for your body to balance itself again and let the results speak for itself.
Just go about your normal day. Keep in mind that, despite the hunger, your body is getting the nutrients it needs if you follow the cleanse. Avoid any extra sources that could effect your body like coffee and snacks.
You know your body the best! Listen to it and don't push yourself like you normally would. While you are getting the nutrients, the lower food volume may result in your body being weaker. Stick to light workouts like jogging, yoga, and walks. Remember to take deep breaths!
