Product Overview

Is there anything more satisfying than cool, crisp, refreshing watermelon juice on a hot day? We don't think so. After all, it's the iconic fruit of summer. The Quench has just the right amount of invigorating sweetness and tart lime, the perfect way to cool down, feel refreshed, and rehydrate. Try this watermelon juice as an alternative to sugary sports drinks!

The Quench is naturally rich in lycopene, the compound that gives watermelon its signature red-pink color, plus citrulline, an amino acid found in watermelon. Because we cold press rather than heat-treat, far more of these compounds stay intact in every bottle.

What makes our version different from what you'd grab off a grocery store shelf? Two things. First, we cold press the whole watermelon, rind and all, in small batches in Los Angeles, so the active enzymes, lycopene, and citrulline are still intact when the bottle reaches you. Most bottled watermelon juice at retail has been pasteurized (heat-treated to extend shelf life), and research shows pasteurization can cut lycopene by 10 to 16%, reduce citrulline by roughly 20%, and inactivate 74 to 89% of active enzymes. Second, we never add water, sugar, or filler. Twelve ounces of The Quench is twelve ounces of real, raw watermelon, nothing else.

Why Does Little West’s The Quench Have Watermelon Rind?

Although we often throw them away, watermelon rinds are not only edible but also highly nutritious! Little West’s The Quench cold-pressed watermelon juice includes watermelon rinds for extra vitamins, minerals, and bioactive compounds like citrulline. Studies suggest citrulline may increase recovery time and improve athletic performance.

What are the benefits of watermelon juice?

A lot more than most people realize! Watermelon is about 90% water by weight, which makes it one of the most naturally hydrating fruits you can sip. But the other 10% is where the good stuff lives. You get lycopene, the antioxidant behind that red-pink color, plus citrulline, an amino acid that's concentrated in the rind, which is exactly why we keep ours in. The strawberry in The Quench adds vitamin C, and the lime brings extra antioxidant brightness. A pretty stacked little bottle.

Is watermelon juice high in sugar?

It depends. Most bottled “watermelon water” drinks and grocery store versions add cane sugar, agave, or fruit concentrate — pushing them past 15g of sugar per serving. The Quench has only 5g of naturally occurring sugar per 12oz bottle. No added sugar, no concentrate, no fillers. That’s lower than most cold pressed juices, lower than most flavored sparkling waters, and dramatically lower than any sports drink. You can drink it daily without worrying about the sugar.

How long does cold pressed watermelon juice last?

When kept refrigerated, The Quench stays fresh, nutritious, and delicious right up until the "Enjoy By" date printed on the bottle, which is usually several weeks after you buy it. Because it's never pasteurized, the natural enzymes, vitamins, and aromatic compounds are still active, so that freshness window is real, not just marketing. Once you open a bottle, we recommend drinking it within 3 days. Just keep it refrigerated the whole time, and give it a good shake before pouring, since natural separation may occur.

When is the best time to drink The Quench?

Mid-day, after sun exposure, or post-workout — whenever your body’s asking for hydration. The Quench is built for replacing fluids and electrolytes, so save the morning slot for Gingersnap or Sunrise and grab this one when you’ve already been out and moving. Pour over crushed ice with a sprig of mint for the simplest summer drink, mix with sparkling water for a low-sugar mocktail, or drink it straight from the bottle when you’re truly thirsty. If you’re new to cold pressed juice in general and want to know when, how often, and how much to drink across the day, our beginner’s guide to drinking cold pressed juice walks through the full routine. Keep refrigerated and shake well — natural separation may occur.
