Shop Cold Pressed Juices

Cold-pressed juice is made using a hydraulic press that applies slow, steady pressure to extract juice from fresh fruits and vegetables. Unlike centrifugal juicers, which use high-speed blades that generate heat, cold-pressing avoids oxidation and helps preserve natural enzymes, vitamins, and phytochemicals.

Curious what those nutrients actually do? See our guide to the health benefits of cold-pressed juice.

How It's Made?

The produce is first ground into a pulp, then pressed under thousands of pounds of pressure to release liquid without introducing heat. This gentle extraction helps maintain nutrient density and pure flavor.

Shelf Life and Preservation

Since cold-pressed juices are unpasteurized, their shelf life is typically 2-4 days under refrigeration before natural nutrient degradation occurs.

Some producers use High Pressure Processing (HPP) - a method that applies up to 80,000 psi of water pressure to eliminate pathogens while retaining raw flavor and nutrition. This extends shelf life and ensures safety without using heat.

What makes Little West cold pressed juice different

There are a lot of bottles on supermarket shelves that say "cold pressed" on the label. The differences are in the things the label doesn't have to print.

100% pure — no concentrates, no water, no added sugar

Every Little West juice contains exactly two kinds of ingredients: fruits and vegetables. We never add sugar, sugar alcohols, artificial sweeteners, "natural flavors", citric acid, water, or concentrates. If a label says "from concentrate" anywhere on it, it's not the same product as ours. Here's what cold-pressed juice does for your body, goal by goal.

2 to 4 pounds of produce in every bottle

One 12 oz Little West juice contains the juiced equivalent of 2–4 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables — roughly the daily produce intake the USDA recommends for an adult. Most supermarket juices are diluted with water or made from concentrate; we are neither.

Cold pressed within 48 hours of harvest

Our produce is locally sourced from small West Coast farms and pressed within 48 hours of being picked. The shorter that gap, the more vitamin and enzyme content survives into the bottle. Mass-market juice can sit for weeks or months as concentrate before being reconstituted — the difference shows up on the first sip.

Frequently asked questions about cold pressed juice

Is cold pressed juice really worth the price?

If you're comparing cold pressed juice to a $3 carton of pasteurized supermarket OJ, the per-ounce price difference reflects three things: 2–4 lbs of fresh produce per bottle (most cheap juice is diluted or from concentrate), small-batch pressing instead of mass extraction, and refrigerated cold-chain distribution instead of shelf-stable pasteurization. For drinkers seeking the nutritional and flavor benefits of fresh juice, yes — the spend maps to the product. For occasional kitchen-table juice, regular juice is fine.

Do I need to refrigerate cold pressed juice, and how long will it last?

Yes. Cold pressed juice like Little West does not contain preservatives or artificial ingredients. Therefore, it must be refrigerated to avoid spoiling.

12oz. Bottles: Every bottle of Little West has a unique "Enjoy By" date to indicate freshness, which is usually several weeks after the purchase date. Once opened, we recommend consuming your juice bottles within 3 days.

Are Little West juices organic?

No — Little West juices are not USDA Certified Organic. Every bottle is Non-GMO Project Verified, Certified Paleo, Vegan, Gluten-Free, and BPA-Free. We source from small West Coast farms whose practices align with our quality standards, and many of those growers use organic or regenerative methods. For the full list and copies of our certifications, see our certifications page.

Are Little West bottles recyclable?

Our bottles are 100% recyclable PET. We continue to evaluate glass and other lower-impact options as the cold-chain delivery infrastructure matures.
