If you’re wondering how to do a juice cleanse, the answer is simple! Order your cleanse of choice, then drink nothing but the juices and water for the duration of your cleanse.
The exception to this rule is our 5 Day or 7 Day Juice Cleanse. If you’re doing a longer cleanse, make sure you include light, healthy “clean” meals (not included) alongside your daily juices.
For cleanses lasting only 2 or 3 days (our Classic Cleanse, Deep Detox Cleanse, and Low Sugar Cleanse), we recommend avoiding food and drinking only juices and water. You’ll have the best juice cleanse experience if you give your digestive system a short break from solids. But always listen to your body! If you’re really struggling, it’s okay to have a small healthy snack like fresh fruit, carrot sticks, or raw nuts.
For our 5 Day or 7 Day Juice Cleanse, we actually encourage you to eat small meals! When you do a longer cleanse, it’s beneficial to keep eating food. This will help maintain your energy levels and metabolism, and avoid a post-cleanse “appetite surge.” Our 5 Day or 7 Day Cleanse consists of 4 juices per day, which we suggest drinking alongside clean, unprocessed healthy meals (not included) like salads and grain bowls.
We always recommend drinking lots of water alongside your juice cleanse. It’s okay to add a slice of lemon or lime to your water but avoid carbonated or sparkling water (even unflavored and unsweetened).
If you’re normally a big coffee drinker, we suggest 1 cup of plain green tea or matcha (made with water) in the morning to stave off any potential caffeine withdrawals. However, many people do go “cold turkey” while doing a juice cleanse. If you’re trying to quit caffeine or cut back, a detox juice cleanse is the perfect opportunity to reset your system.
